This little fella is Luqmaan, and he just turned one!

I enjoyed every moment capturing Luqmaan’s first birthday. He had an Emoji birthday party outside in a park, with little kiddies tables for his friends filled with yummy treats in each of their plates. There was a candy table as well, fully embracing the emoji theme with cut out props of the emoji faces placed into the vases filled with sweets, emoji cupcakes as well as emoji cookies. He also had a huge collage almost the same size as him, in the shape of the number 1, that had adorable photographs on of him from when he was a little baby all the way to now. I also had an emoji photo booth frame made for him which was very easy to make. I will write another blog post for those of you wanting to know how to make a Do It Yourself photo booth frame for your kids birthday party. I absolutely love photographing children parties and seeing all their facial expressions at different things. From his burst of excitement at seeing all the slides, ball pits, jumping castle and park to play in, to family and friends catching up. The weather was perfect for an outside party in the park and ample space for the kids to run around and burn off all that extra energy. As you all know birthdays are not complete without a cake, and what a fantastic way to celebrate your first birthday than with a bright yellow emoji smash cake! Be warned it gets very messy, so do not forget to have an extra set of clothes and tons of wet wipes or towels. In the end the memories created are always priceless and what a better way to keep them alive than by the priceless reactions on your photographs!
